The
Process
1 Day - 2 Weeks:
INITIAL PHONE CALL
Information about the customer and project is gathered. A
consultation meeting is set up at the customer’s home to view the
project site and discuss the ideas for the project.
INITIAL CONSULTATION
The customer presents their ideas and the consultant gives feed back
and adds to the ideas. The consultant goes over the services
provided by DTM Remodeling. Then the consultants will discuss the
project range and the customer’s budget.
2 -10 Weeks:
DESIGN RETAINER
Depending on the scope of the project, a $1000 or 2% of the customer
budget is collected as a design retainer and work begins on design.
DESIGNS
A design will be assigned to your project and begin designing your
remodeling dream. Preliminary drawings are done and discuss of the
drawing. Modifications are made until a plan that balances design,
budget and program is created.
PRICING
Subcontractors who would work on the project (electricians,
plumbers, HVAC) walk through the project site to create an accurate
bid of the cost to do their work.
PRESENTATION OF FINAL COSTS
The final design and costs are presented to the customer.
1 Day - 12 Weeks:
DECISION - TO REMODEL OR NOT TO REMODEL?
After the presentation of the final cost and design are presented,
the client decides whether or not to proceed with construction of
the project.
CONTRACT
A contract is written, signed and the design retainer is
incorporated into the total cost of the project.
2 - 12 Weeks:
PRODUCTION
The final contract and working drawings are passed on to the
Production Manager who develops a schedule for start and completion
of the project. Construction begins.
2 Weeks - 14 Months:
